PEI Season Extension/Winter Tourism Best Practice Mission
When: November 20-25, 2024
Where: Gaspésie Region, Quebec
Cost: Eligible expenses -75% funded (50% from Best Practice Mission program, 25% from Tourism PEI)
This Best Practice Mission is designed to explore new creative innovative products to that align with the 3 pillars of the PEI Winter Strategy:
- Personal Enrichment
- Canada’s Food Island
- First Class Trails
This business-focused trip is designed for PEI tourism operators or associations/groups who are working to extend their tourism season. Selected tourism operators will visit the Gaspésie Region to learn about how operators and partners have been working to redefine the region through tourism, develop innovative products and extend their season. Mission participants then bring back and adapt those fresh ideas, and implement them in their own businesses.
What do you receive?
- Research and planning assistance before the best practice mission
- Trip guide during the mission
- 75% reimbursement on eligible travel expenses (minimal cost to you)
- Follow up support 3 months and 6 months post-mission to identify impact, and barriers and to connect to additional supports
