CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – March 13, 2025 – Cronk Group and the Tourism Industry Association of Prince Edward Island (TIAPEI) are proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership aimed at elevating the island’s hospitality sector through a comprehensive customer service excellence program.

The collaborative initiative will transform TIAPEI’s existing Best Service Excellence training into a modern, accessible format, focusing on creating an online video-based training solution that addresses the unique needs of Prince Edward Island’s tourism businesses.

“Our goal is to build upon PEI’s already exceptional reputation for warm, welcoming and genuine ‘Island’ hospitality,” said James Cronk, President of Cronk Group. “We look forward to collaborating with all TIAPEI stakeholders to ensure that this updated virtual training portal meets the needs of their business, and provides them with a new, efficient and cost-effective way to train and develop their employees”.

Key components of the partnership include:

Developing an online video version of the current in-person training program
Creating robust testing mechanisms to ensure training effectiveness
Establishing a certification process for businesses completing the training
Identifying sustainable funding methods to support ongoing training initiatives

The project will launch with a comprehensive review of existing training materials and extensive stakeholder engagement through targeted interviews and surveys.

The completed video training program is scheduled for launch at TIAPEI’s Annual General Meeting in early November 2025.
