*This is an open invitation to Tourism Operators looking to share their expertise with students looking to expand their industry knowledge.*
We are thrilled to invite you to become a mentor at Workforce Alliance’s Mentorship Connectors Event, scheduled for December 7th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This event is designed to bridge the gap between experienced professionals and talented students and graduates from UPEI and Holland College—nurturing their potential while building meaningful relationships.
Why Join Us as a Mentor?
Mentorship offers a unique opportunity to:
- Share Your Expertise: Inspire emerging talent in your industry and offer practical insights into career growth.
- Spot Future Talent: Meet skilled international students and recent graduates who are enthusiastic and motivated to contribute to your field.
- Build Your Network: Connect with other industry leaders and foster valuable relationships during our networking session following the mentoring rounds.
- Enhance Your Leadership Skills: Mentorship allows you to reflect on your experiences and develop your coaching abilities.
Event Structure
- Format: Each mentor will conduct 5 one-on-one meetings (15 minutes each) with individual mentees, focusing on:
- Mentees pitching their strengths and professional interests.
- Career questions or challenges they seek guidance on.
- Break: A 15-minute refreshment break after three meetings ensures you stay refreshed.
- Networking Session: Engage with other professionals and students from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
