Meet Anne of the Tignish Initiatives Stompin Tom Centre

Anne has dedicated 21 years of her life to the tourism industry, working at Tignish Initiatives Stompin Tom Centre. She has been driven by a deep appreciation for the beauty of PEI and a desire to share it with others. Having travelled and lived away for many years, Anne realized the unique charm of her hometown upon returning for vacation. Motivated by this realization, she decided to create opportunities for visitors to experience the magic of PEI.

One of Anne’s favourite memories is the Grand Opening of the Stompin Tom Centre, it’s a moment that filled her with immense pride. The ongoing planning and management of the center presented challenges, but they also brought her the greatest satisfaction. Anne is dedicated to exceeding visitor expectations, a motto that extends to all aspects of her business, including the Tignish Heritage Inn and the North Cape Gift Shop & Wind Energy Interpretive Centre.

Working in the tourism industry in PEI holds a special place for Anne. She cherishes the collaborative spirit among hospitality professionals and the opportunity to meet new people from diverse backgrounds. For Anne, working in this industry is not just a job but a way of life, embraced by those who genuinely care about improving the quality of the visitor experience.

Anne finds inspiration in happy customers and great staff members who continuously motivate her to deliver the best service possible.
